Well where do I start? Tuesday was amazing and I got home late and I accidentally slept in late on Wed. It was hard to get my day started, I know that is probably unheard of because come on, it’s a CARRIE concert!!
I FINALLY got on the road at about 3:30 and I arrived in Y-town at 6 only to get a text from Rob (showheryoucare) whom I was sitting with, that his car broke down about 30 miles away. Well I had to rescue him because 1) He is part of the crew and my Carrie buddy and 2) he had the tickets, lol. So I called Renee (carrie1fan) and asked her if she had spoken to him, I couldn’t get ahold of him because my phone was being stupid, she was the messenger for both of us!! I was informed on the way to get Rob that he drove about 10 more miles in his broke down car (don’t ask me how, read his review when he gets it up) and was in a wal-mart parking lot in New Castle, PA. I found the wal-mart all by myself, YAY, when I got there he had just texted me the address, lol. Finally had Rob in tow and it was off to Y-town for the concert.
We arrived at about 7:35 and JMC was already on stage, we found our seats and kind of scoped out the arena until intermission. We met up with Jeff and Heather (hblake) and Amanda (carriefan20ca), they were both in our section and Jeff was on the other side in the same row.
The countdown began and a roar filled the center, it was incredible, as the time got closer it got louder and louder!! Carrie finally rose up from the stage, her stage presence and performance was outstanding, she was so talkative and playful on stage, just amazing!! Well you all know the setlist so I will post the highlights that I can remember:
“Do as I do not as I sing about”…what she said while she was walking to the end of catwalk before singing DFTRM. After she said this she said “I thought that was funny”…I got the rest on audio, see my audio thread!! During this chatter she also talked about how she was a bad driver and runs into inanimate objects such as trash cans, fences. Nothing living thank goodness, she said that she thought she once ran over a field mouse and started to cry, she backed up her car and drove back to check, and I think she ended up not running over it, lol!!
This is ironic because when I was driving Rob back to his car I saw something crawl, yes CRAWL in front of me and then I heard a bump bump…I think I ran over something, I felt so bad because Carrie had JUST told us her story about how she cried, well I didn’t cry but I feel like it now because I am thinking about it now.
Anyways, she also talked about how the fans are a HUGE part of the package when it comes to being the music industry, and she kept on saying thank you for your support and people just kept on cheering and clapping and she was like “give yourselves a hand” and clapped for us (I have that on audio).
The concert was incredible, the energy from the crowd, JUST WOW!! She was on fire during Paradise City and BHC, those were amazing!! Throughout the night, esp. during the second set, I held up my sign for Carrie like I did the night before, Rob was holding one up to since he is taller than me and we were surrounded by tall people. During Twisted or PC I think, she saw the sign and smiled when she was on my side of the stage. During PC I held it up but she didn’t see it, I tell ya its hard to take pics or record your favorite song and hold up a sign, lmao, so I had to pick and choose, this is why I got more audio than video, because I was holding up a sign, lol!! So she sings BHC and at the very end she thanks everyone and looks right at me and Rob and says “woot woot”!! I freaked out and that is on my video, lol, you can see her do one “woot” but the other one is blocked by a hand and her head is cut off, I wasn’t concentrating on her because I was so focused, lol!! So that TOTALLY made my night, so amazing, so fantastic, best back to back concerts I have ever been to!!
After the concert, Rob, Jeff and I waited until everything died down before we left, Jeff had to go home because was going to the Reading concert, so it was just Rob and I. I took him to his car, but before that we stopped for food because we were both starved!!
Rob called AAA to get his car towed and I waited until he was done, then I headed home. It was a LONG drive home, just because it was so late and I was already tired from the night before, go figure, I had to stop 2 times to rest my eyes, and I didn’t get home until 4:30A.M. But I made it home safely!!
Thank Yous:
