Ok..so over the course of three years, and thousands of miles and hours spent driving, I made it up to 10 even concerts! And this time I didn't have to drive 5 miles!! Carrie came 15 minutes from me!! Thank you Carrie for FINALLY coming to me!! Thank goodness it's when gas prices are so high lol
So about a week ago I found out that I got this new job and therefore could not go to Nashville for the FC party, when that same night I got a call saying that I won a M&G for my Youngstown show! Needless to say I was soo pumped! Well so I start this new job at General Motors where I am supposed to be done at 4:00. Well the day of the concert I wasn't going to get done until 4:30. So I was freaking out thinking that I wouldn't get there by the 6:30 time. So my boss and I struck a deal. He said that I could leave at 4 if I told Carrie that "there's a good looking guy at General Motors, who writes and sings country music, that wants to marry you" or something to that extent. Well I promised him I would...
So that brings me to the M&G. I walk up there and hand her my stuff to get signed. I had her sign my CR cd and the program. While she was signing that stuff I told her the story and she said "Well I am single" and then she asked what my bosses name was and I told her. Then she grabbed a 3x5 card and said "Watch this will score you some points". Then she wrote on it "name, I hear you're a hottie! Much love, Carrie Underwood." I laughed so hard it was awesome. Then I said "I still get nervous and I don't know why" and she said "Don't be" and giggled. Then I said "oh i remember what I wanted to tell you. Over nine concerts I have probably driven over 48 hours back and forth total and I want to thank you for coming 15 minutes from me!" And then she said "Oh wow. Well thank you, I think you've put more into this relationship then I have." It was soo funny. That's when they snapped my picture and I was genuinely smiling cause I was soo happy!
Oh and while Matt was checking off M&G people he didn't even ask me my name, which I'm thinking was cause he knows who I am haha! Which is cool cause I don't know if Carrie did or not, well she didn't know my name but she also didn't say nice to meet you. She said nice to see you so IDK haha! But it was just soo awesome!!!
Oh and for those of you who are wondering I have no sharpie story this time! But I almost left my purse! And then Carrie said "yeah if you leave it I keep it". So it sort of coincides with the sharpie incidents lol! I mean my sharpies WERE in my purse lol!
Ok well I won't go into much detail about the concert, I'll just highlight it...
I had sixth row seats which were awesome, but the two tallest guys in the world were standing in front of us so that kind of sucked.
Carrie talked a good amount and she was so cute and funny. EVERYONE loved her. She talked about wrecking all of her vehicles, the tabloids and her love life including Ace, and the Opry and more. She kept going off on tangents and saying that she was off on a tangent. It was really cool cause it was like she was just talking and not like it was at all scripted.
Right before Last Name she screamed "Thank you guys for making this a number one"
During IAICA she said "Oh there's nothing like Youngstown Ohio" and I have the audio of that! It was awesome especially for those people around that area.
Carrie coming here meant so much to the area and to all of the people around here. She is the biggest star that has ever come here and she sure set the bench mark high! I think they said she sold out in 12 hours or something!
Please come back next year Carrie!!
Check out my photos here: I'll post them on photobucket later but you can see them for now here. Enjoy!
