My Spokane, WA Review! <3 (& Videos)

So OMG. HOLY COW.

(had to get that out of the way.)

I'm not going to skip any details that I remember, so just to forewarn you: it's going to be a tad lengthy. I'll make it little. Lolll.
Oh & just incase anyone wanted to know, I'm pretty sure it was a sold out show.

THE TRIP THERE.
Before I left my house, I had to double check that I had my camera & my tickets like 293876928376 times. So I left, stopped by Katelynn's house and picked her up around 11:30 Saturday morning and then to pick up my grandma. When we got there, she RAN out of her house and jumped in her car. Lol. We had to meet the bus taking us to Spokane at 1:30ish so we had time to kill when we got to the mall (meeting place). Katelynn & I were too excited to walk, so we basically ran in circles around Herberger's for awhile.

At like 1:20 we went out in the pouring rain to see if the bus was there & sat in the car. We started to get worried that we'd missed it because it never showed up until 2 lol.
Before they (radio people) let us get on the bus, we had to stand out in the rain for 10mins. My gramma had this HORRIBLE thing on her head so her hair wouldn't go flat. It was soooo embarrassing. Omg.
Worst bus ride of my life. It took us like 5 & 1/2 hours to get to Spokane, when we could have gotten there in about an hour less in a car. SOO anyways. Charene, the radio host person lol, told us to look under our seats for a sticker & whoever had it got a M&G for Carrie. THE GIRL RIGHT NEXT TO ME HAD THE STICKER. She didn't even act excited about it! I WAS FURIOUS. Bout an hour after that we played a game for another M&G pass. I was pretty much crying wishing I'd get one lmao. BUT GO FIGURE. The girl RIGHT IN FRONG OF ME gets it this time. She acted like she didn't care AT ALL. And then, there was only one left.

Charene ended up drawing a name from a bag, and it was the lady behind me. She's the only one that deserved it because she wasn't a hag woman lol.
I blamed my bad luck on Katelynn...she didn't seem to care. The whole way we sang & danced to both Carrie & Josh on my iPod. <3

AT THE ARENA. (Before still lmao)
One of the local radio stations were giving away CDs if you sang a Carrie song, so Katelynn & I sang BHC.

So pretty much everyone at the concert heard us BUTCHER it. Bahaaa. It was hilarious. I was assuming he'd give us a CR CD but gave us James Otto instead.
Waited outside FOREVER and talked with some Canadian people. They were flippin hilarious. Thennn we went inside & proceeded to buying tons of Josh & Carrie merch. Lmao.

THE CONCERT!
(Josh)
He's such a hottie. <3 Haha, he opened with "Firecracker" and then sang "One Woman Man" which were BOTH amazing. He also sang (not in order) "Me & God", "Your Man" <3, "Long Black Train" - my grandma was so excited for that song lol, "Trailerhood" & closed w/ "Would You Go With Me". At the end of "Long Black Train" when he does the really low, really sexy last few words of the song, he paused after "longgg blaaack...." and the crowd, including me, screamed our lungs out foreverrr & he started it over like 2 more times before he finished with the "traaaaaain." *take a breath, woo*

He didn't talk much, but when he did he mentioned Carrie. He goes (from what I remember lol), "Carrie and I have been getting close. We're like family. We're like...like this *crosses his fingers*. Well, maybe more like this *uncrosses his fingers*" Lol then goes, "The main difference between us is that she's sold a WHOLE lot more records than I have...that's why you should go down to the merchandice stand & buy my new album..

He put on a great show. I love him. <3 Haha oh yeaa. One time he paused to talk & Katelynn and I screamed, "WE LOVE YOU JOSH TURNER!" (don't think he heard us...) some lady behind us goes, "I LOVE YOU MORE"

So we spent the next 5 minutes going back and forth with that.

thenn...HE WAVED AT US. we may have been in the back, but I swear it was right at us. SWEAR! lollll

(CARRIE!)

Really can't say how jittery I was after Josh finished his set. Seemed like we waited for hours. Some dudes in front of us were sooo drunk. They sang JTTW until Carrie started.

More with them later lol.
THEN THE CLOCK. HATE the stupid clock. I got a video of my new Chinese friend saying, "BOO YOU SUCK" to it. Bahahaa.
The crowd counted down from 5, and my throat already hurt. Katelynn couldn't even talk. Lmao. When Carrie's beginning vid thing started to play, I jumped up and down yelling at the top of my lungs, and I'm surprised I didn't fall off of the balcony. My legs were friggin jello. The creepy guy next to Kate & I looks over and screams (very womanish lol) "YOU WANNA KNOW WHAT'S BETTER THAN CARRIE UNDERWOOD?"
us: "WHATTT??"
him: "NOTHINGGGGG! WOOOOOOOOOOO!" ....that guy was awesome.
"Flat on the Floor" was INCREDIBLE. Lmao, I couldn't contain myself. You have no idea how loud I was screaming & singing along. She was wearing a black tanktop & black pants, and her hair was gorgeous. Hate her. Ha. I know you're all aware of the set list, so I won't get into that lol. When she leaves the stage the first time for an outfit change, that guy who said nothing was better than Carrie...lol...started crying. He goes, "WHERE DID SHE GO?

"
me: "Don't worry, she'll be back!"
him: "You sure?"
me: "POSITIVE!"
him: "WOOOO!"

Carrie was really chatty tonight and SUPER cute. Like, you can think she's cute just by reading an interview, but it's so much better when it's live. Lol. Close to the beginning of the show, she talked about how she did a show the night before in Yakima. "Am I saying that right? Yakima?" *someone in the audience corrected her lol* then she goes, "OH I see...sorry I butchered your town's name. When people interview me they always pronounce Checotah wrong." Then she kept rambling on lol, it was adorable. Then she did the "I studied journalism, which is kind of ironic since they're the people I run from now" comment.

The song after the Yakima thing Ed was laughing at her & she stopped singing & went, "you stop laughin' at me!"

Her TMBIM intro was cute lol. "So how are the prince charmings here in Spokane?" *girls screamed lmao* "Wow, usually I get lots of boo's when I ask that...so there must be some pretty good ones here!" Some guy held his little boy up & Carrie waved at him and said how he was so cute, pretty sure it made his life!

As she walked down the stage she goes, "I see a bunch of future lady-killers!

Before ITYS, she talked about the Opry & how she was so excited to sing a Randy Travis song. The drunk guys in front of me sang along with pretty much the whole song...it was hilarious but I wanted them to shut up. Lol.

During another one of her chatty times, lol, she talked about how when she first won AI her mom was all worried she'd be into drugs and whatnot. (I got a video of that!

) & she said something like, "with songs like Last Name and Before He Cheats I could just see mothers taking their CDs and burning them."

"I'm kind of a dork...as you all may have noticed by now! I watch Star Trek, I eat my french fries with mustard instead of ketchup..." then she said something else INSANELY adorable but I don't remember it because I was laughing at the french fry comment.

Haha then she goes, "Okay, maybe I should just shut up now!"

I think it was after she sang Twisted & the lights turned down, she was walking back down the catwalk to the main part of the stage while slapping people's hands...she said, "Wait, I can't see!"

Before she sang "Don't Forget to Remember Me" she moved down to the end of the catwalk. She sat on her stool & attempted to adjust the mic stand but it was loose or something so it kept getting shorter and shorter so she goes, "That's the problem with broken mic stands...I have to keep moving down to follow it" Lol then she acted like she was following it down. <3 Then she talked about how Checotah had just got their 2nd stop light out in front of Walmart lol. (got a video of that, too!)

She talked some about being short, too lol. & about a lady that grabbed her butt!

"Some older lady came up and grabbed my bottom & said, 'I've always though you were a little bigger back here!' But it was okay because she was like, my grandma."
So that's all of the chatter I remember. I sang along to EVERY SONG, so needless to say, I couldn't breathe and today I have no speaking ability. Lmao. Carrie's performance of IKYW was everything and more than what I thought it'd be. Completely blew me away. JTTW and DFTRM are also 9233823096X better live. I bawled lollll.

The bus ride home was hell. We went right after the concert. Katelynn & I were MUCH too excited for sleep, so I have no idea how but we managed to only sleep like 30 minutes, the rest we just talked about how excited we were. We didn't get home until 4:30 this morning LOL. So I've had like 3 hours of sleep today. TOTALLY WORTH IT. & Katelynn's a much bigger Carrie fan now. She used to like Josh better...but I'm thinking that's changed hahaa.

I'm still having a hard time believing I was at my FIRST CARRIE CONCERT! It was sooo amazingly incredible that my freakishly long review can't even do it justice. <3 Thank you for staying tuned.
