Johnny Depp To Earn $56 Million For Fourth 'Pirates' Film
Johnny Depp is set to earn a record-breaking $56 million for his role in the fourth installment of the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' movie, reports Australia's 'Daily Telegraph'.
The amount marks the largest upfront payment in film history and will see Deep move ahead of Will Smith, who was named Hollywood's highest paid actor, in terms of annual earnings, by 'Forbes' earlier this year.
"It's a hell of a lot of money for one movie but there's only one man who can play Captain Jack Sparrow -- and that's Johnny Depp," a source tells the paper. "Pirates just wouldn't be the same without him, so they were more than willing to smash the record books to land Depp again. He's been the star of the show every time."
It's reported that co-stars Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley are unlikely to be involved in the fourth installment of the Disney franchise, which has earned over $2.7 billion to date
