John McCain Aide: Katie Couric Asked Sarah Palin 'Trapdoor Questions':
Nancy Pfotenhauer, a senior strategist for the McCain campaign says that the Katie Couric interview was nothing but a "series of trapdoor questions."
And here's CNN laughing it up over the same interview and its Saturday Night Live parody -- which used Palin's own words -- something that the network definitely noticed: "That was the first time I've ever heard the parody on SNL actually use exactly what was said... It was a rough week for her."
That is just a cop out, Palin looked bad in that interview, period.
Come on, you gotta give her a break. She's new to the political scene, she doesn't have enough experience in these matters, and she's used to small town politics in Alaska. She doesn't have a grasp of world events and doesn't seem to be very good at thinking on her feet. She's only been a governor for 2 years. She'll get better as the campaign goes along. Maybe on her next interview or at the debates, the questions will be easier and won't be seen as "going for a gotcha moment".
I'm sure she's been studying for her debate and will come up with better answers to these questions. Give her some time folks. We've got all the time in the world. The economy? It can wait, no problem. Iraq, heck we've been there since 2003, what's a few more years, a drop in the bucket.

Sorry, if she is going to second in line to run the country, she has to look A LOT better than she has.
Palin is the Governor of a state that has less of a population than some major U.S. cities and it is showing. She looks more and more like she is in over her head. The McCain/Palin ticket has lost my vote over the past few weeks and I really doubt that it is going to get it back.

Ok, I guess I'll have to work harder on my sarcasm. I agree with you. She's not qualified.

Palin is very experienced and well accomplished in the sector of energy and ethics. She will be fine. Afterall energy is very important today and she could really be a big help.

Honestly....
If you're running for vice-president, it doesn't matter whether you're used to it or not. The Palin bump wore off and her foreign, domestic, and economic policies aren't good enough. She's just making herself look less and less appealing. In the words of Bill Maher, she's a bimbo. It'll be interesting to see the debates on Thursday though.
