Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds Married In Canada
Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds quietly got married over the weekend just outside Vancouver in Reynolds' native country, Canada.
Reynolds' publicist confirms the marriage and reports indicate it was a small ceremony with guests including only family and close friends.
The couple announced their engagement in May and as recently as last month, Johansson said that they were in no rush to get married, but the couple may have just wanted to keep out the paparazzi: "We're just enjoying our time. We're just recently, very recently, engaged. So, you know, we're just taking it easy.
"And no big plan yet. But it's a good time, we're just ... enjoying our time to be young and engaged. I mean, I'm 23. There's no reason to rush into it. Everything feels very natural and relaxed."
This is the first marriage for both. Johansson began dating Reynolds, 31, last year shortly after his breakup from singer Alanis Morissette. And now Ryan can feel up Johansson to his heart's content, almost like Isaac Mizrahi did at a previous Golden Globes.
