Matt Damon says the selection of Sarah Palin as the Republican nominee for vice-president could end up "like a really bad Disney movie" if John McCain wins the presidential election.

"You do the actuary tables, there's a one out of three chance, if not more, that McCain doesn't survive his first term, and it'll be President Palin," Damon said in an interview during the Toronto Film Festival.

"I think that there's a really good chance that Sarah Palin could be president and I think that's a really scary thing because I don't know anything about her. I don't think in eight weeks we'll know anything about her."

"I know that she was a mayor of a really small town and she is the governor of Alaska for less than two years. I just don't understand. I think the pick was made for political purposes, but in terms of governance it's a disaster."

"It's like a really bad Disney movie, 'The Hockey Mom.' Oh, I'm just a hockey mom from Alaska, and she's president."

"She's facing down Vladimir Putin and using the folksy stuff she learned at the hockey rink. It's absurd. It's totally absurd. I really don't understand why more people aren't talking about how absurd it is. It's a really terrifying possibility. The fact that we've gotten this far, we're that close to this being a reality. It's crazy."

I agree. I like Palin, personally. Obama kinda freaks me out though. idk why. He just does. Its not the thought of a black president, I wouldn't have a problem with that at all. I actually really wish Condoleeza Rice would've run. But that's beside the point. I like Palin, but she could turn out to be a horrible president if John McCain doesn't make it through 4 years...

ppl say they are scared of Palin cause they think she has a chance at being president and they know nothing about her...well i know more about her than i do obama and i would much rather have her as president than him...

its a matter of who will do the job right and obama won't.

my mom and i had a VERY long conversation about Palin. i dont want to start anything because i HATE getting into political conversations but i want CHANGE in our country! barack the vote!...i dont know how people can say they dont want to vote. voting is only one of the most important rights that we have as citizens of the United States. i cant wait to vote in November!
