Heath Ledger Named Summer's Top Movie Villain In Movie Poll
Heath Ledger's incredible performance as the Joker in the summer's biggest box office hit, 'The Dark Knight', has earned him the title of the summer's best movie villain.
In the poll conducted by movie listing service Moviefone, the Australian actor received a whopping 95 percent of the votes to easily take the title. But that wasn't all, the 'Batman' sequel won in every category that it was nominated in, including best sequel, best superhero movie, best action sequence and the movie most worth your cash.
It blitzed the competition in the most worth your cash category, picking up 72 per cent of the vote ahead of 'Iron Man' (14 per cent), 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull', 'Sex and the City' and 'Wall-E' (five per cent each).
As for the film least worth your cash, Eddie Murphy's 'Meet Dave' took the top spot with 33 percent of votes, closely followed by the Mike Myers flop that was 'The Love Guru'.
'Sex and the City' edged out 'Mamma Mia!' as best chick flick, and 'Tropic Thunder' beat 'Pineapple Express' for the title of funniest comedy.
Angelina Jolie was voted the summer's sexiest babe for her role in 'Wanted', and Robert Downey Jr. was voted the hottest summer leading man for his role in 'Iron Man'.
