Thread: Carrie Underwood glows at 'Fashion Rocks' rehearsal

yes, she is performing at fashion rocks because it says that she was also going to be apart of the just stand up to cancer charity event and she wasn't in it last year so it is righ, I guess becuase it does say it. But you are right, this is the first article saying carrie is going to be in fashion rocks. I think there is a good chance that this article is true.

Yeah I'm confused too because I didn't read anything about Carrie performing at Fashion Rocks. Maybe they meant Carrie was at rehearsal for Just Stand Up on Friday

We heard that the Stand Up performance was being sung there but figured it was just going to a taped performance from the Stand Up show that airs on Fri. If she was there for rehearsal, if it is that song, they may just be rehearsing it again but who knows what is really being sung. Would be nice if they sang it and she got to do something else.

Yeah apparently Just Stand Up is being performed on the Fashion Rocks stage. However I'm not sure if it's lived or taped or what... because the picture said she was going to a REHEARSAL so maybe it will be live tomorrow night?? I really don't know!

The Stand Up 2 Cancer thing is first so wouldn't they be singing it there live first and then either live or taped at Fashion Rocks but didn't the article say she was rehearsing for Fashion Rocks - but it is air later then the Stand Up thing??

Fashion rocks is taped tomorrow night-- and will air on 9/9.

The Cancer thing is shown live tomorrow night-- from the same venue as fashion rocks. There is an article ini the times section clarifying this.

They are using the fashion rocks stage and audience, etc-- to do the charity single live.

We will see the charity song tomorrow LIVE, but they won't show Fashion rocks until 9/9.

It is possible carrie got asked to do Fashion rocks too---- as I heard Christina Aguilara cancelled.... so maybe they asked carrie to fill in for her?

Either way-- they are likely rehearsing for the cancer song too.... so it could be either or both.

They're performing Just Stand Up live from the Fashion Rocks stage at Radio City Music Hall. There will be other Fashion Rocks performances that are going to be taped from the same stage the same night but none of them other than Just Stand Up will be shown on Friday's Stand Up To Cancer special. We don't know whether they'll show the Just Stand Up performance again when Fashion Rocks is on TV next Tuesday.

The photographers may just have assumed Carrie was in rehearsal for Fashion Rocks because she was rehearsing at Radio City. But there's been no announcement about Carrie being part of Fashion Rocks other than singing Just Stand Up. I've seen ads on the sides of buses in New York City and none of them mention Carrie's name. It'd be great to get a surprise extra performance but I'm not holding my breath for it.

Carrie looks great in that picture. I love that blue color on her.

They may have assumed carrie was rehearsing for Fashion rocks-- and got confused... because the Cancer thing is the same night, same time, and in the same venue.

Beyonce, mariah carey and rihanna are part of BOTH events-- so they will be singing for the charity song, AND the fashion rocks-- it is at the same venue.

I am hoping Carrie might have been asked to do something for fashion rocks too-- at the last minute-- because christina aguilara cancelled, per pulse boards. I am not sure if that is true or not.

Christina will not be performing. I read on some other board that it was decided a while back that she wounldn't be performing, don't know how true it is but it makes sense since she wasn't featured in any of the photo spreads. So if someone had replaced her I'm sure we would have heard about it by now.

Oh, OK - thanks. This is confusing as heck but now I think I get it. She is just taping on their stage so that must be where all the confusion is coming from.

true-- they would have added carrie to the lineup.

Here is a wild guess: they said keith urban was at rehearsals too.... and he is at fashion rocks.

Carrie Underwood glows at 'Fashion Rocks' rehearsal

September 4, 2008 (Sawf News) - Five time Grammy Award-winning country pop singer-songwriter Carrie Underwood glowed at a rehearsal for 'Fashion Rocks' at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, on Thursday, September 4.

Underwood was casually dressed in silver grey slim jeans and a double-layered blue top with gathered shallow scooped neck and elbow length sleeves.

She accessorized with a snake leather pattern shoulder bag, zebra striped shoes, gold pendant necklace and a gold double band ring on the middle finger of her right hand.

Her layered cut blond wavy hair framed her face softly with eyebrow length bangs covering her forehead. The smoky eye make up accentuated her beautiful hazel eyes and glowing skin.

Others at the rehearsal included Chris Brown, Keith Urban, Babyface, Natasha Bedingfield, Ciara, Leona Lewis and The Pussycat Dolls.

Conde Nast Media Group's 4th Annual Fashion Rocks benefit on September 5 will be a two-hour star-studded concert honoring the extraordinary relationship between fashion and music. It will see superstar performers paired with models strut clothes designed by leading designers of the world.

Those performing at the event include Christina Aguilera, Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, the Black Eyed Peas, Chris Brown, Justin Timberlake, Keith Urban and Rihanna.

The show will air a few days later on CBS at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 9.

Carrie Underwood is also expected to attend the 'Stand Up for Cancer' event on Friday September 5.
