New American Idol Judge Has Written for Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill
August 25, 2008
Pop songwriter Kara DioGuardi, who will serve as a fourth judge on the upcoming season of American Idol, already has ties to Nashville. Her writing credits include Carrie Underwood's "Sometimes You Leave" (from Carnival Ride) and Faith Hill's "Lost" (from The Hits). DioGuardi's Web site also indicates that Martina McBride has cut one of her songs for a forthcoming release. The eighth season of American Idol will debut in January with returning judges Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson.
nice! I hope she's smater than Rand & Paula. I'm actually glad they're adding on another judge. Maybe this will change the show a bit, with a new opinion.

wow i just figured it out!! Randy on one side simon on the other and the table in the front hmm so they had to hire another judge to sit behind Paula to keep her from falling over backwards!!! Posted via Mobile Device
I thouht they wanted to get the focus more on the contestants! Maybe they think the talent pool is starting to run a little dry so any more distractions are a good thing.
