Radio listener bawled her eyes out over Just A Dream
on my local country radion station, 94.1 KMPS Seattle (most listened to (country?) radio station in the Northwest). im sure many of you have witnessed this before on a video blog comment or something, but this was on the radio; this wasnt about the video, it was about the song. they played Just A Dream, and after it was over (they played the full version) the DJ was talking about the song sturring up emotions. then immediatly after, the guy talked to a lady. since they played it basically right after the song, i think they prepared this vs a live calling. she was talking about how women suffer (what happened in the song) all the time. and im guessing she did too, or knew someone who did because she was uncontrollable. i dont remember all the details, but she sounded very sad and tearful the whole time. she also mentioned the feeling of getting a folded up flag. the DJ said, "i know the pain will never completely go away, but i hope this song helps lessen it." and the lady said "of course." now again, i dont remember everything they said, so i can only paraphrase them from what i remember.
also, i heard Last Name on the way home. ive had a lot of radio "sightings" lately; and also, i know its very possible this sighting happens often, and others have heard many like this, but i thought this was worth posting, because personally, i have not.
i think that was why i cant remember much. i was so surprised and shocked to really hear someone so emotional about this song (instead of reading it) that i guess i was just... i dunno, couldn't focus on anything else for a while.
