Yeah, he wrote a song called 'Raising McCain' specifically for John McCain's campaign. He performed it at a rally recently in Panama City, FL. It's a pretty catchy tune.

Another guy on Carrie's side. Well if country music is 80/20 with the guys, Carrie is actually on the power side of this game.

wow---- that is very very nice to hear! I think I needed to hear this too as he was a little abrasive on nashville star.

He did compliment carrie once before though-- when he opened for kenny, and carrie opened for big n rich AND kenny all the same night at foxboro stadium in 2006, John Rich was the only person to bother to give Carrie a shout out.

he said she is incredible-- and the crowd agreed.

He is just a very outspoken man and that grates on some peoples nerves. He's bold. A personality like that can help you at times and hinder you at others. I personally could take him or leave him but I like his song writing and the group Big and Rich. His wardrobe is horrible. He seriously needs a stylist. For him to compliment Carrie like that and be such a conisouer of Country Music is a huge pat on the back. Any comparison to Reba is huge.

John Rich has been a big influence on the direction Country Music has taken in the past few years. He almost always has a song on the charts that he either wrote or co wrote. He is an extremely talented guy. Sorry to hear about the McCain stuff though.

Yea, but I would much rather McCain take it than Obama. He's a socialist and will pretty much give all our money away. Heck I would vote for Hillary Clinton before him.

Glad some country stars are saying the things that we already know about Carrie. Carrie is special and has helped bring country music to the mainstream forefront whether they want to admit it or not. Carrie has great potential to go down into country history as long as she just continues on the right path she is on and continues to put out great music, which I'm sure she will.

After 8 yrs of the moron & another 4 of Bush III you won't have to worry. We won't have any money for anyone to take away. No traveling to see Carrie (can't afford the gas), no buying CD'S (have to buy bread & milk instead), no CMA Music Fest (it's a long way & lots of gas & oil to Nashville).

I'd like to see John Rich write something for Carrie along the lines of 8th of November or Lost in this Moment. He really is a superb writer.
