I really think Carrie will perform CC w/o any extra fanfare. The performance of her and the band is enough for me. If she has the dancers or gimicks the TS fans will said she is a copycat and country people will say she is pop star.

Ya know I was thinking it's a long-shot to perform 4 consectutive years at the Grammys but Cowboy Casanova might just win her that honor.

When I listen to CC I'm always thinking how great it will be to see it live. The guitar riffs in the song are so good that I think just having Carrie and the guitarist on center stage is enough, much like how during the CR tour, the last few minutes of LN were just Carrie and Ed.

Yeah that's definitely a possibility, but I think for sure she will sing CC - particulary if it is/has been #1. It would also be the first time she's performed it at an awards show. Would be funny as to see Brad as the 'Cowboy' but I think she'll bring out her 'posse' on stage for CC. Looking forward to it either way, but not looking forward to watching the EOTY being announced ............. especially if Taylor wins

I think Carrie should open or close with CC and personally I think it should be a big production. Let the CMA's see the mistake they make in not nominating her for EOTY. I love all the ideas that have been thrown out - Brad as the CC, Matthew as the CC, all the other country females as her posse (although I doubt that would happen, as I doubt those women would want to play "backup" to Carrie).

I want to see Carrie wow everyone with this performance and I want everyone (pop and country fans alike) to be talking about it the next day. Who cares if someone calls her too pop because she brings backup dancers on the stage? Carrie is in her own league and she has proved her loyalty to country music and if she wants to shake things up a little, I say go for it!

We all know Carrie can just stand and sing and it's awesome, but why not make everyone go "Wow, I didn't know Carrie could perform like that!".

I think its best just for Carrie to be on stage by herself with the band. Just make it all about her with no distractions.
CC will be great to see on TV for the first time!

Ahhh!! I'll be able to see Carrie perform Cowboy Casanova live, on TV, TWO WEEKS IN A ROW! I can't wait! I think the crossover success will start at the AMAs. For the CMAs I think she will probably open the show... It would just make sense given the type of song and the fact that she is hosting. I would absolutely LOVE it if Brad is the casanova!!

You better take it from me...CC is the song it will be....

it wouldn't make sense for her to sing any other song.. unless it's off of "play on". she going to want to be promoting her CD that whole week and what better way to do it that to deliver a kick-butt performance of CC? (:
