as long as its a good song, one that showcases her voice.

she did mention (at the FC party) that she thinks this album will be happier. i guess that reflects how appreciative she is of her life now

I think the first single will be coming out in mid August b/c from that twitter about that lady having to make a saloon hat for Carrie sounded like something maybe for Carrie's video shoot. I think Carrie's first single will be a midtempo one. What do you think?

I agree w/ everything except that I don't think the lead single will be about God or a religious theme as I think Carrie will probably try something new for her lead single at least. I personally think the song will be a relationship type of song or about love or country life. But I do think she will have at least one song on the album that is about her faith/God.

If the November release date for the album is true and it sure seems like that it is, then sometime in August would seem like the time for the first single to get released.

I love the idea of late Aug. I 'll go with that.
I am still looking for the big cross-over. I know that is a bad-buzz word these days. But I believe Carrie has the ability and complexity of spirit to creat a song that is decidedly country but speaks to people as a whole. I am still waiting for that song, and if it comes as the lead single for the new album than the skys the limit for sales.
I want Carrie in country where she is happy, but I want the world to understand that a song can be a country song and still be universal. Crazy/From This Moment/How Do I Live. And no, I am not talking about editing a pop version. Clearly you know me better than that. If a song can't stand on it's own merit first, than it isn't worth crossing over.

not that god isnt fun lol, but most songs dealing with god are a little slower and stuff

I'm not sure what it will sound like though!! With her first 2 albums, she had kind of like mid-tempoish songs to lead off. They weren't like total rockout songs, but they also weren't really slow ballads.

i think so...but i think uptempo for the first single will be great because she's had 2 consecutive super ballad songs....

but as long as it's still Carrie, i'll love it..

i mean i would love it no matter what and it will be great
but after 2 ballads in a row, i think this debut single should be totally different
from that, and from what has has released already.

I'm on the mid-late August train as well. Also, I hope its an uptempo song, but I'll love it no matter what it is!

I think late July - August is the time frame... It depends though. Carrie has already recorded some stuff, and she is writing like crazy. By the end of next month they may have enough material to start putting together the album. Therefore by that point the may have enough material to chose a lead single as well. You also have to remember, Carrie compared to some artists is quite quick at music making because she is a natural. She hears a new song, memorizes it, and then records it. Thats her gift...some artists take forever because they just can't get it right. I think we will at least have a single title, and maybe an itunes release date by, (not on) July 27th.

so if it is released early august, then we should hear about it in mid july or so.

I think that the first single will be a up-tempo, edgy song. She just had a very soft beautiful ballad, so I don't think she will have a ballad. I don't know why but I think it will be something close to country-rock (if there is a such thing), anyhow, I don't care what it is as long as it is GREAT (which it will be). If it is a edgy summer song, then I think it will be her highest debut to date (I am praying it is, SO PLEASE BUY AS SOON AS IT IS RELEASE ON ITUNES).

I hope Oprah invites her to her show before her album is released so it get can an extra first week bump!!! BUt there a so many new albums that are being released around that time so please support her next CD by buying multiple copies, one for yourself and one for a frind or family!! (Sorry getting of topic).

Well rumor has it the new album is coming out in november so I expect the single to come out a couple months before november. i don't know for sure though

It will prob be around August. But i want a mushy love song soooo bad! lol

My guess is Little Miss Carrie's new single for album 3 will go for radio adds 7/28 or 8/4.
