Other than what I posted above, I thought Carrie really rocked out and gave a great performance but that the crowd sucked. She desired a better reception imo than what she gave/performed. But the crowd made it up to her on her and Brad's duet so I felt much better then.

Watching Taylor's performance. She sounds off. I have goosebumps, and it's not the good kind of goosebumps you get from watching an amazing performance. Also, were the "dancers" necessary? I have never seen one country act that includes dancers, except for Honkey Tonk Badonkadonk, which was necessary. Also the rain scene. Wow...guys should be happy at the sight of a girl drenched in rain, but...yeah... so not diggin' it. Overall the performance was ehh..

Carrie - the award and the performaces
Kellie - she didn't won but she was really cute and her new song is really cacthy and good, you can't help but love her when she is on... she just amazing...i'm sure her time will come
Taylor - sang one my favorites from her album and won one award

agree.....this is not POP taylor!!!! She is trying too hard to be britney spears of country music--- and it is not working......
I almost think she is using all these bells and whistles to distract people from the bad vocals--- and it unfortunately is working for some people. lol but not for me. |

I personally don't care what TS won as long as Carrie got FVOTY, which she did.....so I'm more than thrilled w/ the outcome!!!!!

Agreed. I can see that some of her songs are country...(hell I like some of her songs), and that country music now is a fusion of country and other genres. Cowboy Troy is country/rap. Halfway To Hazard is Country/rock. Carrie is country with a hint of pop, rock, and vocal. The thing about Taylor is that she crossed the line in the sand.
And again, just to clarify: I don't hate her or her music. I just think that her "country" title isn't justified. |

Yes! I just wake up and seeing that Carrie won 
That made my day
i just the performances and she was awesome at the two !! First was rocking and the the tribute was soo pure!
Carrie looked amazing in all outfits and i loved the straight hair !

I think they won 2. Top Song and Top Single for Stay. 
Carrie rocked on LN. The band was a little too loud so she really had to push to be heard over them but it was a really good performance IMO. There was one note where she didn't sound as great but 99% of her vocal was awesome and I loved that she changed things up a little.
Carrie and Brad were INCREDIBLE together. They did a beautiful job honoring Eddy Arnold.
I'm so happy for Carrie's win! I'm also happy for the wins by Brad, Miranda, and Sugarland.
Great night for Carrie! I hope she had an awesome time! |
