Yea I know she's done well, but compared to those she's up against last year she had a better shot IMO.
I keep forgetting about Miranda lol Hmm I guess she could maybe pull out the win, but she has a better shot at AOTY and that doesn't necessarily mean FVOTY, just ask Brad Paisley. I know he won Mvoty at the CMA's but he's been known to pull an album win with Keith taking MVOTY. If this were the CMA's I would bet even money on Carrie's win, given this is the ACM's I would say she still has a 95% chance of winning. I will be shocked if she doesn't win. Carrie fans it won't be the end of the world if she doesn't lol, but I fully expect to see her in the press room with an award this time
^ agree--- almost anyone on the list is worthy to some degree--- but taylor. I don't even like Leanne rimes- but I would never take away from the fact that she has talent. However- carrie had a much stronger year then all of them.
Interesting. Maybe that means that Carrie will also be presenting an award? I know Sara Evans, Jewel, and Dr Phil, etc---- were all announced as presenters.
I hope Carrie gets to present an award AND perform--- because this way we will get to see her on stage twice--- if for any reason she loses FVOTY. At least we will still get to see her this way.
They want good ratings-- so they are smart to put carrie on twice...unlike CMT, who blew her off until the end when many already went to bed.
CMT seems to be blowing her off alot lately! If Katie Cook doesn't mention her Opry Induction this week....something is really fishy!!!

agree--- there was a whole thread about this on the cmt boards because they barely mentioned her opry induction-- no photos or anything. It was a HUGE deal especially due to garth-- but instead- CMT put up 3 more articles about taylor-- because she sneezed I guess, so it was big news.
CMT used to be SO nice to carrie- they did SO much for her to promote her career, etc. Lately-- it is ALL about taylor to the point of nausea.
I thought they would make a huge deal of it--- due to garth being there if nothing else. It was pretty disappointing that they gave it no attention at all- just a 3 sentence paragraph that they waited to put up for days, and then took down soon after off the home page.
I guess they have moved on to taylor in a big way-- and that is unfortunate.
^ hmmm. i didn't notice that until you pointed that out. and yeah, you are pretty much right. at least GAC gives carrie some good treatment. i think. i dunno.. i hope.

With the Opry tied to GAC, which is a competitor to CMT, I didn't expect much to be mentioned on CMT. There was a small article on the CMT website. But not much other than that.

I was just thinking that. Competetion is not reserved for the charts only.
Thats true but the Grand Ol Opry is still the Grand Ol Opry.
You would think that CMT would want one of their biggest artists accompishments shown.
I actually saw it all over the place except CMT.
Unfortunately for them, it looked like a snub, even if they were just strying to overlook it for their own sake.
Speaking of which the only other place I didn't see it mentioned was AI.
I know they are at the peak of their competition right now but at least an honorable mention seemed in order.
Maybe if she performs, they will do a big send in with a mention of it.
Otherwise it is strange that they wouldn't mention such a huge accomplishment of one of their biggest success stories.
It's like Daughtry ending up in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame and them "just not mentioning it".
It doesn't seem likely.

I think I saw something from AI congratulating Carrie.
