I'm with you. I really don't see how she wouldn't win. She sang on Fashion Rocks with Lindsay Buckingham, The Sound of Music on the Movie special plus she sang the theme music to Enchanted. I'll stand by you for IGB charity. Plus her new album 2 number 1s in less than 6 months. She should win FVOTY. I"ll throw up along with you if TS wins.

AGREED!!! Besides EVERYTHING that Teesharky (theresa) said, after this post it gives me even more confidence to say that Carrie has this award locked. I mean my god she had more chart success, sales success, tv appearances, and touring success than ANY of the nominees in that category in 2007. (this IS based on the 07 calendar).

And Im with you too: If Taylor wins TFV I will be barfing with you all.

TS will win TNFV, but if she acts all giddy and surprised as if she didnt see it coming I WILL puke. Honestly. SHE KNOWS SHE HAS IT. If she says "I cant even believe this" then I will officially believe that she is FAKE AS HECK.

agree--- there was a whole thread about this on the cmt boards because they barely mentioned her opry induction-- no photos or anything. It was a HUGE deal especially due to garth-- but instead- CMT put up 3 more articles about taylor-- because she sneezed I guess, so it was big news.CMT used to be SO nice to carrie- they did SO much for her to promote her career, etc. Lately-- it is ALL about taylor to the point of nausea.

I thought they would make a huge deal of it--- due to garth being there if nothing else. It was pretty disappointing that they gave it no attention at all- just a 3 sentence paragraph that they waited to put up for days, and then took down soon after off the home page.

I guess they have moved on to taylor in a big way-- and that is unfortunate.

Theresa I agree 100%!!! CMT HAS BEEN BLOWING CARRIE OFF AND GIVING ALL THIS ATTENTION TO TAYLOR.

I think maybe its the fact that GAC's been making a big deal out of Carrie with the Opry Induction so maybe now they wanna favor Taylor...

You're not alone. If she doesn't win I guess I shall be taking a break from this site. The bashing and complaining has already started I can't imagine how bad it'll get when the award is actually handed out.

Don't bet on it.... You never know how these things are going to go. There is definitely politics involved from time to time. The artists who deserve to win don't always win. I am going to go out on a limb here and express my opinion although it is probably not my wisest choice today, lol. TS is a good entertainer and has brought many young ones into country music. She is business wise and has marketed herself well. She continues to do so. Well, enough said....I am not bashing her just stating what I feel is true. I enjoy some of her songs, they are catching and cute. Needless to say she has a huge fan base. This is wonderful for the country music industry. However, this is a Female Vocalist award we are discussing. There is only one artist on that list that is even close in comparison to Carrie's vocals and it isn't Taylor. I don't think Martina will win though because she has not been as active as the others.
I agree with the others that will not be happy if TS wins. If Miranda wins there will be a smile on my face, not because I think she is a better vocalist but Miranda does have a lovely voice, is talented and a wonderful writer and musician and if anyone wins other than Carrie I would rather it be her. Miranda has worked very hard for a long time and her album will probably win Album Award. I want 5th Gear to win but as I said before if Miranda wins there will be a smile and a soft spoken "it's about time girl".
