She's not that huge in Australia anymore. She used to be, but not so much.
I don't know much about Delta Goodrem. What I do know is:
1. She's engaged to Brian McFadden, an Irish singer, formerly of Irish boyband Westlife, who is now shamelessly taking advantage of his fiancee's Australian fame to release his music in Australia (and I'm a fan of Brian's!)
2. When she and Brian make music together it's like magic.
3. When she makes music alone I can't stand it.
4. When she sang with Westlife, it was so bad I wanted to go out and find a kitten to slay.
As far as the cover - it does look a lot a like but this isn't the first time I see album covers that look a lot like something else - intentionally or not. You can only get so original when you're doing bland pop music.

2. Agreed! Then again though, they only seem to write music TOGETHER, barely any music of theirs is just 1 of them writing really....
3. Her last 2 albums were brilliant, this one...eww...except for the first 2 tracks i love.
4. Im gonna assume you meant He,and yeah, he was pretty crappy....
And yeah, she still is huge in Australian...but like, not the same sort of huge. Her fanbase dropped a little once she got Cancer and fell out of the music scene
And seriously to the rest of you. You have serious problems. Artist dont copy other artists purposely. What. Do you think she saw carries SH cover and went, "OMG lets make a shoot exactly like that, because if i have pictures like her, i will sell 7 million as well". You people are dillusional....farout that annoys me.
Besides. Delta makes all her own music, and its all brilliant (besides the new album, its a bit weird personally for Delta), she does not need to Copy carrie to have success. But you will find she wont do that well in the US, her fanbase there isnt that big really.....

I think Delta released hers first, so id have to point the finger at Alicia, but im not sure, you never know who actually made their cover first. But anyway. Yeah this topic is silly....

Oh and also Leona Lewis' album cover for the UK version of Spirit is like that as well. I think the up close, text at the top was a real popular look. And Delta did release that album first and the cover. She shot hers during the summer of 2007.
I really like Delta's latest album, I think it'll do well in the US once she starts promoting more, it's only just been added to radio recently. Unfortunately they dropped The Guardian off this album to replace with Born To Try and that's one of the best songs on the album and also one of the two she didn't write (the other being Woman).
Also, I still don't see how it's copying Carrie. Yes, they're similar but I could pull out two different album covers and say how one of the artists could be copying another. Carrie doesn't have claim of the over the shoulder look or the swirly little flowers. Delta is not doing this to gain more success in the US, she'll use her own talent for that
