Well, Carrie has had a heck of alot happen to her - winning Idol , making 2 albums that have sold almost 10 million copies, having her first single spend 6 weeks at the top of the charts, having all her singles to date hit #1 with Last Name on it's way, winning some 30 + awards in 2 1/2 yrs, headlining her own concert tour and having almost all the dates be sellouts, and last night being inducted into the Grand Ole Opry - yikes !! Carrie!!! and it's all because she has amazing talent and is a wonderful person who deserves all that has come her way.

This is the key of Carrie's success: "a wonderful person" !!! The one reason why I have been following Carrie Underwood's career is because she has a beautiful personality !!!

Last night was AMAZING. It has been three years of highlights following Carrie's career - winning Idol, countless awards, plantinum records, at least a dozen magazine covers, breaking records - but last night was the greatest highlight of them all. I am so proud of Carrie and all that she has accomplished, and after last night I am more honoured than ever to be a Carrie fan. CONGRATULATIONS CARRIEEEEE!

^^^yes she messed up and said "Mr." She kind of stumbled on the word and I think she wanted to correct herself but maybe didn't want to draw on her mistake and so kept on talking, pretending like it didn't happen I think all the excitement got to her
I still can't believe Garth Brooks inducted carrie. What an honor! I kept hoping and praying it would be Garth or dolly all along- but I never thought it would actually happen. It was more like a dream. I don't believe he has ever inducted anyone before- right?
Got to watch the induction when I got home from work this morning...Simply wonderful...The most important moment in Carrie's life & career to date...Great to see Garth do the honors...My fav comment from him..."5 minutes with you...you get it"...Yeppers, Garth...she does...
Isn't it interesting what a group of friends Carrie has acquired...You only need the 1st names...
Rascal Flatts
Kenny
Brad
Keith
Josh

Great to see Carrie's family there, including her dad...I believe this is the 1st time he's ever been seen at an event other than the CMA Fest softball game...They were SO proud of their little girl...Rightfully so...
Great, Great night!!! Be enjoying this for a LONG time!!!

Does anyone know who inducted martina? thanx!
I honestly never thought it would be Dolly as she and Carrie don't seem close at all. With Carrie's strong love of Oklahoma, I just really always thought she'd choose Garth, Vince or Reba.
It was Loretta Lynn that Martina chose to do her Opry Induction.
Someone had mentioned that they didn't think the artist got to choose, but I had read where Trace Adkins chose who he wanted and just saw on Martina's site that she chose Loretta. So I'm sure Carrie chose Garth and probably thought about how much it meant to her as a child when she met him for the first time and then being able to stand on the Opry stage and have that man induct her into the Opry has got to be a very big highlight of her life. So glad Vince was a part of it as well.
Here is what Martina's website says:
One of the major milestones of Martina's life and career occurred on November 30, 1995, when she was inducted into the Opry as its 72nd regular member during the Opry's 70th Anniversary Special, which was telecast on CBS. Martina chose one of her idols, Loretta Lynn, to make the presentation, and sang Willie Nelson's song "Crazy" for the occasion.
