So any possible carrie can get #10 spot at Hot 100 next week?

The top 12 is very crowded right now and the Garth nonsense doesn't help. I'm hoping to see a little forward progress tomorrow. But, with the wierd chart, things may not get back to normal until next week. The Sony/BMG gang is probably concentrating their promotion on Kenny and to some extent Brooks & Dunn. Carrie will get her share as the album release date gets closer. I do think that today's press release about the album release was timed to give Carrie a little buzz while they are generally concentrating on other artists right now.

Based on the Popularity bars on iTunes, I figure that So Small's sales are currently between 70K and 80K and is picking up 10K to 15K per day. So, that would put total sales by the end of the week between 100K and 125K. That probably will be enough to get SS into the top 10 of the Hot 100.

The djs see the same info that we see and they can't ignore the sales of So Small on Itunes. The overall play that So Small is getting currently will not jive with the sales if her mediabase position continues where it is. Sony will ultimately have to push Carrie's single instead of the other clients. I would think the spins of So Small would be directly proportional to it's selling ability. If is debuts in the top 10 on the hot 100 next week, it can't be ignored any longer. We'll find out more next week about this whole situation, I hope.

Remember, Carrie is Sony's cash cow right now, and to emphasize B and D at this time with their sales history to me would be counterproductive. Kenny will sell his share no matter what as indicated by his debut position, but I guess Sony wants to milk it all, no pun intented.

omg! if this will be awsome exposure to help boost it in Country! this will be the 1st time that she is doing better in pop than country! lol! im so happy! finaly something to take the weight off our shoulders, for now! lol!

if you havnt bought SS yet, or you dont have itunes, get it! the higher up the charts that better exposer it gets! and using the predicted opening week sales for SS, you can tell that the Album will open huge, hopefully enough to get best one-week sales of the year!
