Today, we start a new chapter with the beginning of the New Album Era (hopefully we will have a real title for it soon). And with that new era comes the start of a new thread for following the journey of Carrie's music up the charts. We had great fun over the last 2 years in old thread and it is a little sad to bring it to a close. But it will always be there for us to enjoy again and I am sure we can look forward to lots of future good times in this new thread.

And speaking of good times, So Small's first day was SO BIG (sorry, couldn't resist), especially given that it didn't get airplay until mid-afternoon. On the published chart, So Small enters the chart at #56 with 145 spins and 1.421 millions AIs. Of the 223 country stations monitored on Mediabase, 80 played So Small yesterday. Just to give a little comparison, JTTW was at #84 with 22 spins and 0.3 million AIs after the first day of release. And by that Sunday, JTTW was at #39 with 377 spins and 3.918 million AIs. So Small looks to shatter that mark, probably by tomorrow. After tomorrow's update, I should have a better feel for where So Small will debut. But right now, I would guess it will enter somewhere around #20.

For the rest of Carrie's songs:

On AC, BHC (+10 spins, +0.362 million AIs) remains at #6. On Hot AC, BHC (-32 spins, -0.073 million AIs) remains at #11.

ISBY (-2 spins, -0.025 million AIs) drops a spot to #50.

Kenny actually took 8 weeks to get to #1. I'll have a better idea of how they compare in the next couple of days. But, I expect that So Small climb will be comparable to Kenny's and RF's, maybe even faster.

^^ I'm not Cary but I just checked out YES.com using a station (WGH-FM) I knew played SS but it looks like the song has not been registered.

You can't really go by DFTRM, BHC and Wasted, because they all had advanced airplay of the album track before the single was officially released. JTTW was the only one with a controlled release like So Small.

As far as I know, yes.com is not picking up So Small yet.

I emailed yes.com yesterday about not including so small in it's lists. Maybe today.
