Thanks for the update Cary. Have we learned when Carrie will be hosting CCUSA? Her name was put up as an upcoming guest. When she hosts do you think they'll give JAD an extra spin?

Still no date for co-hosting. If JAD is not the hot song when Carrie co-hosts, they will probably give JAD an extra spin. Usually the extra spin during co-hosting isn't the album track. Carrie has not done any major live performances of JAD. However, they may play the acoustic version of JAD from the Target DVD for the extra spin.

Cary, I think it's pretty much a given that Carrie will sing JAD on the CMAs on Nov 12th, and I'm thinking JAD might still be #1 then (which would be awesome!), but say it already peaked and is falling, you don't see Carrie debuting the next single there. I'm thinkin it's a definite no but I don't know much. Now a second question is what is Carrie gunna do about the release of her next single so that it is not affected by christmas airplay? Do you think they'll release one of the Christmas songs off of the CR special edtion cd so that Carrie still has an active selling song during the holiday season to drive sales?

Not Cary but IMO if they release another single it will def be one of the Christmas tracks.

They will not officially release any Christmas song as a single. However, all Carrie's Christmas songs are available to radio to play at their discretion. Most stations mix in some Christmas music with the current hits for several weeks, but may only play solid Christmas music for a few days.

The next single will be a regulat album track and it will go to radio before Christmas.

As to the CMAs, it is highly probable that JAD will be the song. If nothing else, it will get it in front of the people who will be voting for next year's ACM awards.

Ok there you go I'm totally wrong once again LOL. I would think they would release a christmas single to promote CR a little more, but hey I'm wrong. Although by doing that they would be competeting with the Elvis duets duet album so I guess that probably won't happen.

Taylor Swift's LS (+92 spins, +0.294 million AIs) has moved past Tim McGraw's LIG (-6 spins, +0.101 million AIs). Look for LS to pass both Darius Rucker's DTIDTAI (-76 spins, -0.02 million AIs) and Kid Rock's ASL (-35 spins, +0.022 million AIs) this week to move up to #4.
