Out of all Carrie's songs in the past, present, and future, I would hate to see JAD be the song to not get to #1! Keep requesting and let's show radio stations everywhere that we LOVE this song!!!

JAD (+37 spins, +0.346 million AIs) remains at #7. JAD increased its lead on George Strait's Troubadour (-21 spins, +0.045 million AIs).

On Hot AC, LN (+1 spin, +0.007 million AIs) remains at #46.

Great update today!!! This song shows no signs of stalling out before it gets to #1!!! If anything it has consistently gained and has #1 written all over it!!

Carrie has had non-lead singles get pushed to the top too, the last one being just her last single, Last Name. I agree with Cary that Carrie will probably get some kind of push when the label feels like when JAD is the closest to the top and just needs a little help to get there. Carrie has that superstar status that gets those kinds of treatments and one of the more important stars in her labels. But yes, there's only so much that the label can do. And sometimes, it's up to the song, sometimes, it's up to the timing.

As I recall, DFTRM never did make it to #1 on Billboard so from their standpoint, Carrie is not going for #8. Billboard is the established king of the ratings world so it has been somewhat confusing to me about the #1 string.

Billboard while important isnt the only chart.CCUSA by far the most popular country song countdown show uses the Mediabase chart. Where DFTRM spent 1 week at #1 so in the eyes of most of the industry Carrie Marie Underwood is going for an unprecedented 8 # 1s to start of a country music career!! Its never been done before like i always say the glass is all the way friggen full enjoy the ride!!

JAD (+10 spins, +0.191 million AIs) remains at #7. JAD incresased its lead on George Strat's Troubadour (-9 spins, +0.016 million AIs) and gained on Toby Keith's SNCIFOM (-13 spins, -0.171 million AIs). Also, Brad Paisley's WOAW (-151 spins, -1.204 million AIs) is falling fast. So JAD should pass WOAW in the next few days.

And it looks like LN went recurrent on Hot AC.

That is a question I can't answer right now. Darius Rucker is going to have 2 weeks at #1 minimum and maybe 3 weeks. I think it will all come down to how longer Kenny is at #1.

Why is everyone assuming Taylor will get to #1 just because she is climbing fast. Kenny always climbs fast... even faster and Carrie always climbs fast. She has no compeition right now to climb how she is. This negativity is so beyond annoying it's crazy. A label has a lot of influence and i'm sure hers is pushing it since it's the first single from her album.

I agree with you Brittany the Taylor stuff is way over the top!! Luck and timing is how you get to #1 then Carrie has been pretty lucky and has had perfect timing her whole career so far!! Its not gonna change with JAD luck and timing are gonna have little to do with it. In my warped thinking great songs get to #1 luck and timing our for songs that need it like OS during X-mas last year. If JAD doesnt hit #1 i will never post on your Mediabase thread ever again Cary and You can hold me to it!!

^ The weird thing is....... sometimes good songs never get the recognition they deserve, because of timing, luck and other external factors. OS got 6 weeks at No.1 due to luck and timing, and not because it's as good as JTTW (else it would have gotten CMA noms). Pink's "na na na na" annoying single managed to get to No.1 on Hot 100 this week, while some "better" pop songs never managed to get to No.1

Carrie's No.1 streak will definitely end one day, I think most of us are worried that JAD, being the best Carrie single to date (IMO), will ironically be the single which ends the streak. That just makes JAD look bad, which the song totally does not deserve! It can happen to the next single after JAD, but not JAD please...
