At least you will not have to deal w/ hearing it every hour for a week. Of course, that got tiring so I turned off my radio every hr mostly and brought out the Ipod.

You guys are getting this all wrong. Garth's song is NOT the cause of SS's troubles. You are just making Garth the scapegoat and frankly it makes me sad. (Throughout human history, people have pinned the blame for things that "go wrong" on other people who have nothing to do with the problem. This is a form of prejudice, it is a simple as that. Good people should not do it.)

The reasons for SS's troubles are not clear at this point. The song got off to a great start and now it seems to be stalling and/or fading. If all the other songs around SS were experiencing the same declines I would feel a lot better, but really they are not. So SS's problem might be: (1) SS is already burning out, (2) Arista Nashville is trying to slow the song down, or (3) country radio is trying to ease the song-jam in the Top 10 and holding SS back in their programming temporarily. We will probably know the answer in a couple of more weeks.

Ok, I may have found a major factor in today's airplay drops. I did a lot of checking on yes.com and it appears to me that Jeff Foxworthy's countdown did not air this weekend. I checked many stations against the schedule on their websites and not a single station had a countdown in the timeslot allocated to the Foxworthy countdown. In fact, I found several stations that showed the same song list for the 3 hour slot, but none of the top songs were included in that list.

I see what you are saying, however I couldn't imagine her label doing this poorly of a job marketing her and letting the FIRST single on the album fall off the charts this early in the game. The song is too good and the video hasn't even came out yet. Something is up, but I hope her label fixes it soon LOL
