This is soooo exciting! I went over to the old thread from the SH era and was reading all the goodbyes...and then came over here and read how incredibly well "So Small" did on its first day at radio. I almost teared up from the emotion of it all. Lol, it's amazing how wrapped up in Carrie's career we have all become, but there is no other artist out there who's career I would want to be involved in to this extent.

I only heard SS on my local station WBUL, Lexington, KY once yesterday, but I am sure they played it in the evening too. The evening DJ likes to play new music, but I couldn't get the listen online to work for me at all yesterday. I actually got through to them around 8:00 this morning and requested it, but they said they had already played it an hour earlier, although it would definitely be coming up again later. Unfortunately I still can't get the streaming online to work. I'll have to check out mediabase for WBUL and the other country station to see how she's doing! I really can't wait for Carrie to get her FIFTH #1 in a row...who thinks she can get her fifth number one in five weeks? Anyone?

I really hope it doesn't hit #1 that fast. It is 12 weeks until the album release date. So the ideal time for it to hit #1 is probably about 10 weeks, so that it is #1 at the time the album comes out.

You have no idea how important this forum has been for me, since I'm Brazilian and it's hard to get information about Carrie, thanks Cary you've been a better teacher than you'd imagine, thanks Robin, I said I'd NEVER forget what you did for, and I won't!

I know you are right, Cary. I guess the fifth number one in five weeks just sounded cool...I have no doubt she can move up the charts just as quickly, if not more, than Kenny and RF, but I agree that for the album, it would be best for it to hit #1 closer to the release date.

Of course...if it had a six week run at #1 like JTTW...now that would be a different story.

I'd hope the song's momentum is at its peak when the album is released. I don't want people to get burned out from too-much-Carrie (well, not everyone is like us LOL) long before the album is even released. Hopefully, it could cross-over to pop radios as well, now that would be a sweet bonus and will surely boost the sales for the new album (and perhaps even SH sales will get bumped up again? *hopeful* )

Plus, how fast it gets to No.1 is not as important as how long it will STAY at that spot

KMPS Seattle played it 4 times yesterday starting at 5 pm. I got an e-mail from Ryan (filling in for Tony) and he said SS was going straight to rotation. They never do that with anybody.

That's awesome Mary! Thanks for sharing. I read at Pulse that SS is going up against Taylor Swift's new one Our Song at Seattle's KKWF tonight at 9 PM. Do you know if that's true?

I hope So Small continues to rise when it gets to #1 (If it gets to #1) because Kenny Chesney's song is already falling and it's been at #1 for like 1 or 2 weeks and on the chart for 8 or 9 weeks!
