Certainly not "with it" these days. She must be a non-country fan. Did you ask if she new who Garth Brooks was?

First the bad news, the heavy hitter in country radio WUSN has decreased airplay for SS this week. Carrie has lost significant audience everyday this week. The good news is that other stations have increase SS in their rotation this week. KNIX, WIL, KILT, and KSCS to name a few. The two Texas stations KILT and KSCS have more than enough audience potential to cover the WUSN losses. All that to say, GO CARRIE!
It will be close with Garth this week. It is hard to compete with Garth giving out free tickets to his sold out concerts. One of my local stations is holding a contest to win Garth tickets. Now where do you suppose those tickets came from?

Very cool. Those are just a few of the radio stations on the Let's request SS thread I e-mailed recently requesting SS to be played. Glad to see that they are playing it more

SS (+11 spins, +0.226 million AIs) remains at #3 and gains airplay despite another After Midnite airplay loss. There will also be an After Midnite airplay loss tomorrow, since SS only had 1 spin today compared to 2 spins last week. Garth Brook's MTAM (+47 spins, +0.293 million AIs) continues to edge closer. But, at the current pace, it looks like SS can hold onto #3 until the end of the week for both Mediabase and Billboard/R&R. And don't expect the top 2 to change anytime soon. Kenny Chesney's DB (+46 spins, +0.363 million AIs) and Dierks Bentley's FAE (+50 spins, +0.308 million AIs) are still climbing. DB has a 4 million AI lead on FAE, which has a 4 million AI lead on SS. However, there is also a 5 million AI gap between MTAM and the next highest song that is climbing. So, the top 4 seems pretty secure with the only question being whether SS can hold on at #3 or not.
Here's this week's spins for the other CR songs:
Last Name - 61 spins
All-American Girl - 56 spins
I Told You So - 54 spins
Flat On The Floor - 52 spins
More Boys I Meet - 52 spins
Crazy Dreams - 52 spins
Just A Dream - 42 spins
Get Out Of This Town - 38 spins
Wheel Of The World - 38 spins
Twisted - 25 spins
I Know You Won't - 24 spins
You Won't Find This - 16 spins
On AC, BHC (+10 spins, -0.04 million AIs) moves up a spot to #6.

I think everybody should go out & buy end of the world insurance. It looks like King George will not hit #1 with How Bout Them Cowgilrs. The appocalypse is upon us.

Hey everybody, what do you think of "Don't Blink"? Does it deserve to dominate country radio like it is doing? I haven't heard it myself because Kenny's songs are played at saturation level constantly on WKLB, so I have a tendency to switch stations the minute I hear his voice. But give me a break, DB must be just about the best country song in years to be dominating the radio like this. DB shot up the charts like a rocket and now just continues to sail along above everything else for week after week.

I reckon I am going to be in the distinct minority on this, but I think Don't Blink & Free & Easy are both really good songs. Whether they deserve to roost forever at the top is another subject. But, I like both songs.

Funny how KC dominates the concert crowd and the radio but not the album sales charts. People request the song and save their money for concert beers?

Looking at the callout charts, DB tops both the R&R and Mediabase callout charts with very strong numbers. It is #4 on Rate The Music. So, in this case, the chart position and the listeners feedback seem to be in sync. So, I would say the answer to your question is yes.
