Cary, I might be wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised if Carrie's team decides not to do a video for SS. It is accelerating up the charts now. I really doubt Kenny will have one for NWNM, so if SS follows a similar routine, than it may not need a video.

Plus, this song is considered to be a "thinking" song, so everyone would have their own idea about it. It's not a "story" song as her other singles have been. So, a single video may be tricky to do.

What do you think are the chances of that?

Well, that is certainly a possibility. I guess we just wait and see.

Isn't Kenny on tour now? I'd guess he couldn't fit in time to make a video. I hope they do one for SS.

We don't know yet. It won't be official on Mediabase until the afternoon update later today and removes the recurrents but the debut should be at #25 there. The Billboard/R&R chart includes airplay from today, so we won't know the debut position until tomorrow. Cary predicts the debut will be between #20 and #22.

Well, that is true. Personally, I'm not so sure if I would like one for So Small. I really did not like the JTTW video. Even though Carrie is extremely beautiful and I love looking at her (lol), I really think they showed too much of Carrie just standing in one place on the video.

So Small does not tell a story. The meaning of this song would be different for everyone. When a video is created, many people tend to think of the video when they hear the song (I do occasionally). I don't want a video unless it is extremely great, and even then, it would kinda defeat the purpose of us thinking, know what I mean?

Not every song always needs a video, and they could use that money for other promotional purposes. We'll just have to wait and see what happens. I expect that if Carrie is filming a video, it will only be a matter of a couple of weeks before we find out.

The afternoon update is up and as expected, So Small moves up to #25. Also, ISBY moves up to #54.

^ yeah I see your points about not having a video. And I agree that JTTW wasn't the best video. I still think they should have just done it according to the lyrics- had carrie in a beat up old car on a snowy road driving on xmas eve, then showed a few other scenes, etc.

But anyway- if they do a video for SS, I sort of see it as an inspirational video, not a story video-- since as you say correctly, there is not story in the song. It is a message song- so- have carrie singing on top of a beautiful mountain, in one scene, sort of contemplative...then they could show someone in traffic, late for work, break your heel, etc- going through a lot of annoying small stuff--- and freaking out over it. Then- switch to carrie in the beautiful mountain scene, calm and relaxed, with someone she loves- or even her dog...LOL -- singing the part where love is all that matters.

anyway- a video could be done of this song, or they could do it like Settlin' was done for Sugarland- a live concert footage video. Carrie hasn't done one of those yet.

BHC is now recurrent on mediabase Hot AC. Not sure what the R&R rules are.

Wow!!! Great imagery!!! This is the type of imagery they can do on "So Small" video. If they will not make a video on this song, CMT AND CMT audience will be disappointed. Team Carrie does not want to alienate themselves from this group. CMT audience is still big enough for album sales. So, in my opinion, they will make a video on this song.

I'm not 100% sure about the Billboard/R&R rules on Hot AC. I think it has to drop out of either the top 15 or top 20 to go recurrent. We will find out tomorrow. Either way, BHC had a great run on Hot AC. It will still be on the AC chart for a while.
