hey guys- let's celebrate So Small being an official top 10 hit ! yeah! So this means every one of carrie's country singles have gone to top 10. very cool!
guys- when can we expect Carnival Ride to hit itunes as a pre-order? I noticed the list of pre-orders today, and melissa etheridge, bruce springstein etc are on it...but no carrie yet.

Yes, it's an official top 10 song, but I expect it to go even higher. Maybe number 1. It's been out 8 weeks, it's just a baby.

Hey guys, where did woot, woots go? I was noticing on Cary's chart that SS drifts at a certain level for a few days the quickly rises to the next mark and drifts for a few days then moves up again. Seems almost like a controlled rise to the top (just like cream in cows milk)
Go CARRIE !!!

guys we are on page 100 already...lol I can only imagine how many more pages we will go through before the album is done.
For some reason people were talking about grammy nominations already today- at my work- and people were wondering if BHC could be nominated in a pop category? I think not, since it is still a country song. But perhaps it will make country song, and carrie will get a nomination for female vocalist again.

That's what I'm always thinking. I know we all want all of her songs topping the charts, but I think we should think a little bit. I don't know if everybody sees it as I do, but Carrie wrote a song called So Small, I guess a few people here have heard it, if you haven't, it's about how silly we're sometimes worrying about things that are SO SMALL, when we have bigger and better ones around us. I guess this song, that I think you haven't heard yet, fits in perfect with this case. Carrie comes from an AMAZING journey, she went from a country girl to one of America's biggest stars, she decided to stick to her roots and recorded a country album, the country world embraced her quickly and she sold A LOT and all of her singles hit number one, right? Now, we have an album that we all know Carrie was more active in the making process, it means the album will be more CARRIE, we all know how great she is as a singer and as a person, and how THANKFUL she's for our support and love. Having said that, I guess So Small reaching #1 is such a SMALL thing, it won't hurt Carrie's success at all, I bet her love for us will stay the same, and, as long as she's putting new and great music out, we, FANS, should be proud of our girl.
Don't get me wrong, please... I'm not saying we should give up on SS, I just want us to start looking at the wonderful things we have around us and that the bad thing would be if we hadn't an album to look forward to, but we do.
I think I wrote way too much, didn't I?
I'm sorry for my english, I'm Brazilian and I make some gross mistakes!

I understand your point, but nobody is giving up on So Small, I'm not anyway. Yes, you might see some pessimistic posts, but it's to be expected when the song just sits at the same spot for almost 3 week now. Carrie's cd will be released in about a month, I'll give the song that much time before you see an "ok, this song is only a top 10 hit", which by the way is nothing to be sad about. Thanks for your post. Woot, woot.

Yes you are right. Thanks for the reminder If SS makes it to #1 that is just icing on the cake. The fact is we are lucky to even have Carrie and her music. I'm so looking forward to her new album and am going to enjoy her music and the joy it will bring to my life just like SH has. Worrying about whether Carrie's new single or future singles will be #1 is natural b/c we want her to continue to succeed but it's not the most important thing. What is important is that Carrie is able to do what she loves, which is to sing and live out her dreams and for us as her fans to be able to enjoy and be touched/inspired by her music to live our lives as fully as possible. Worrying about SS making it to the top is SO SMALL. Just need to let JTTW!!! What will happen will happen. Carrie is blessed and will continue to be blessed no matter what happens. For Carrie, its not about having #1 hits but about putting out music that is touching/meaningful; music she is proud of. That's more important than #1's. It's about the journey not the destination. If SS makes it to #1 great, but its the journey that it took to get there that is more important. During Carrie's SH era, Carrie put her heart and soul into SH and wanted to prove the world, especially the country music scene that she's the real deal and not just a contest winner. As a result, she worked really hard to put out a great album and was singing anywhere and everywhere to get noticed and she sang her heart out, especially at the crucial moments (Like the ACM's last year). Slowly by slowly she was proving people wrong that she can sing and is the real deal. With that, she exploded and all her released singles went to #1, she sold 6 million cds, and won a TON of awards. Did she forsee the success she would have or the end result, I doubt it. She just worked really hard and gave it her all; living and experiencing the journey not focusing on the end result. That came on its own. So it's about the journey not the destination. I'm looking forward to the next chapter and journey of the Carnival Ride Era. Sure is a crazy journey already but well worth it as Carrie would say . WOOT WOOT.

SS (-3 spins, +0.196 million AIs) moves up to #9 as it passes Garth Brook's MTAM (-24 spins, -0.177 million AIs). It wasn't a real active day, as the only song in the top 13 that registered an AI gain of over 0.2 million AIs was Tim McGraw's IYRT (+13 spins, +0.366 million AIs). And 5 songs in the top 13 lost AIs.
On AC, things just get stranger. BHC (-10 spins, -0.201 million AIs) remains at #7 as Bon Jovi, who passed BHC yesterday, drops back below BHC and Plain White T's again moves in front of BHC.
