It's been an AWESOME Carrie week!!
Thank you Cary for compiling all that info, and for all the hard work you do for us!
Carrie’s cover of Home Sweet Home made a big splash in sales and on the charts. Home Sweet Home sold 112.2K. As a result, Home Sweet Home debuted at #21 on the Hot 100, #10 on the Hot Digital Songs chart and #8 on the Hot Digital Tracks chart. And Home Sweet Home also had enough airplay to debut at #52 on the Hot Country Songs chart.
And Home Sweet Home had a positive effect for Carrie all across the charts and in sales. In fact with the exception of Before He Cheats falling off the Hot 100 Recurrent Airplay chart, Carrie either held steady or moved up on every chart she was on. And sales were up for both Carnival Ride and I Told You So.
I Told You So held steady at #12 on the Hot Country Songs chart and moved up 3 spots on R&R’s Canada Country chart to #3. And I Told You So moves up 5 spots on the Hot 100 to #57 and moves up a spot to #44 on the Hot 100 Airplay chart. The sales for I Told You So were up 30% to 15.7K. Total sales are now 95.8K.
The More Boys I Meet holds steady at #46 on the Hot Country Songs chart.
Carnival Ride’s sales were up 25% to 12.1K. Total sales are at 2.684 million. The sales increase moved Carnival Ride up 2 spots to #5 on the Top Country Albums chart and 11 spots to #42 on the Billboard 200. Some Hearts moved up 5 spots to #13 on the Top Pop Catalog chart and stayed at #1 on the Top Country Catalog Albums chart for its 24th week at the top of that chart.
And finally, both Last Name and Just A Dream were certified Gold.
And look for the positive results again in the coming week. The I Told You So duet with Randy Travis looks like it will have an even more positive impact.

2x Reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year: Carrie Underwood!
Dec18 + Dec19
Was a great week and I think next week will bring even more amazing news! Thanks Cary!
3/18/09 - All I can say about tonight is that for the first time I really want Carrie's music to continue progressing more to the traditional side of country music and I think it will. I don't care if it doesn't sell as well or all go #1, it's beautiful with Carrie's voice. Tonight I saw her as a Country legend for the first time.
Thanks Cary!
Silly question from me...... but ermm, what's the difference between "Hot Digital Songs" and "Hot Digital Tracks"?![]()
Carrie (and her fans) have had a very exciting 2 weeks. I can not wait to see the sells numbers for this/last week!
Awesomeness.....
Go carrie and fans!!!
ITYS is a good example for showing the difference between the 2 charts.
For Hot Digital Tracks, each version of a song is considered individually. So the sales of the solo version and the duet version are considered separately. And the duet version could rank at say #5 while the solo version could shows up lower on the chart.
For Hot Digital Songs, the sales for different versions are combined. So the sales for the solo and duet version would be combined and there would be a single entry for ITYS on this chart.
Should we see a big jump with ITYS next week with all of the sales throughout the week since the release of the duet?
WOW! Great Updates Cary! What an amazing Carrie week! I am Happy that ITYS sales went up for Carrie's birthday week! I cannot wait to see next week chart updates for the impact of ITYS sales!
