Frankly, this astonishes me...If I might offer an alternative thought...I'm persuaded we've been venting our frustration at the wrong target...The target, IMO, is NOT Taylor...It is her MANAGEMENT! Over my 50 years hanging out on this ole world, I hope I've learned some truths...One of the most true is this...ALWAYS Follow The Money!!!!! I'm convinced her management is out to cash in, all they can, as much as they can, while they can...Remix & remarket it 15 times if necessary as long as the kiddos are willing to buy it...Please let me be clear...This is not, IMO, about Ms Swift, as much as it is about her greedy management...I would not be surprised if another young girl comes along...If that girl gets hot, hear me now, believe me later, Taylor could well get dropped like a bad habit...The brutal nature of the music business...& that could be a bad thing...Even a Hardcore like Tee has said, I believe, that Taylor has songwriting skills, that potentially could get better with age & maturity...

BOTTOM LINE...

Just offering some thoughts up there...Bash & crash as you like...In contrast, Carrie is on track for Long Term & Guaranteed!! I'm good...Hope you are too...

Let me repost my original statement again. Read it closely. I said I suspect they accidentally combined them. HDD has been known to do that on occasion. I believe they did it when the last Sugarland album came out. But before the tally was done, they figured out their mistake and fixed it.

I never suggested that her label did it on purpose, or that Billboard would combine them. I don't see any possible way that these two CDs could be considered the same album on purpose. They're too different.

^^^True.....it's going to be her loyal fans that will buy her new stuff in droves on it's first weeks. Just surprise that her old stuff dropped so low when just last week it was so high and in the #1 country spot. Looks like all her fans are switching over from buying her old to her new material??? Very confusing update.

Based on the chart from 2 weeks ago she's at about 13.2K which would be an increase from last week.

Taylor's sales still don't make sense. I can't see her debut album falling down that much just because there is a new release. There still may be some combining of numbers with her debut album.

In light of the all the Taylor Swift talk, maybe we should not forget that in addition to Carrie's original CR album, she also released the Target special DVD edition and the Music Pass edition with the one extra song Sometimes You Leave.....and I'm sure I'm not the only one that bought all three, lol.

I hope you are right and the HDD gets this TS stuff straighten out cause it doesn't make sense. Hopefully they can separate her two album sales out correctly. Either that or her fanbase just has great communication w/ each other to stop buying the old album and buy the other one instead.

True but I'm just surprised her old album just dropped so low from last week even w/ the special release. One shouldn't drop that low just b/c of a new special release. Maybe the other half of HDD update will give us a better analysis.

If I remember correctly when the CR Target special DVD edition came out both the Target special and the original CR album were selling fairly well. The original CR album didn't drop very dramatically just b/c the Target version came out.

I think the DVD and CD of CR were released the same day and were counted together...
