what percentage do you think Carrie gets out of the total gross...10%? 15%? i mean they split it between lots of poeple...of course the arena's the band members, Keith, Carrie...tour bus drivers?(if they have one)...

Nobody seems to want to believe me, but I'll try again. The artists are guaranteed a certain $$$ level before even 1 ticket is sold. The promoters take all the risk as to whether or not they make any profit. More often than not a contract will read something like... We will pay you $$$$ up to the point where we sell 7,000 tickets then beginning with ticket 7,001 you will take X% of all ticket revenue after that point (usually the percentage kicks in after the promoter has met his expenses & is showing a profit that he is looking for). Carrie, at this point in her career, with the Star Status she has attained, is undoubtedly guaranteed well into 6 figures per night. She then pays all her band, her roadies, her bus driver etc. & management fees are held out, but believe me when I say it, she still has bucket loads of money even after expenses.

I know that a lot of people here are hoping that Carrie could get an Entertainer Of The Year nomination when the CMAs roll around. And we know that touring is a big part of that category. So, I thought people here might want to get an idea of how Carrie's concerts stack up again other tours. So, what I am going to do is to post the results for other country tours as well as Carrie's numbers. Carrie's numbers will always be in the 1st post. And then I will make a new post with the other numbers. Just as a point of comparison for now, Carrie's CR tour is not going to post numbers like the tour with Keith. The number of available tickets are a bit lower, as are the ticket prices. I expect that the average gross per date for the CR tour will be between $250K and $350K.

Haha, I'm with ya, Ron! The contracts can stipulate a guarantee, percentage, or a guarantee + percentage. I think it's most probable that Carrie's getting a guarantee, especially from what has been reported from her previous tours. And yeah, it was 100K a concert back in her fresh-from-American-Idol days. Multiple awards (especially Grammys which supposedly double and can even triple an artist's fee), multi-platinum album sales, multiple #1's later--- suffice to say, she's doing alright It's possible her guarantee may already be on par with (or even a bit higher than) Martina who gets 250K per concert. What she actually gets to take home is much lower than that, of course. See, now I'm tempted to research this. I can get kinda obsessed with contract law, especially stuff like this, so I was trying to stay away, haha! It's just that Ron was looking a little desperate with no back-up, lol!
