I wonder what percentage Carrie actually gets from each concert. Also Nan Kelly said last week that she has peroformed in front of over 600,000 fans already!!

I do not know, but my wild guess is she gets around $ 200-250 K (thousands) per concert (this is low estimation).

I honestly think Josh Turner was a bigger draw for carrie- leading to sell outs in almost every city for the first leg of the tour. Jason Michael Carroll is good- but he is a newbie and not that well known yet. Maybe that is why not as many cities sold out this time.

As Davilas said- hopefully the Fall tour will sell like the spring tour with josh, since Little Big Town and Carrie together are a great draw.

The gross ticket sales are around $300K per show. The promoter, the venue and Carrie's management all take a share. There are also expenses (the crew, the band, etc.). So Carrie's share is probably closer to $100K. But consider that even if Carrie only makes $50K per show, Carrie will have made somewhere nearly $7 million by the end of the tour. And that doesn't count merchandise sales.

Maybe we could have a thread where, at the end of the tour, we took a picture of all of our ticket stubs and posted them. It would make many of us hang onto those stubs more closely. Just for fun.
I didn't mean how much she made personaly, that would be imposible. I meant to see how much all her touring together made to compare it to other Country tours to see if she could possbily get a nomination for EOTY.

Since I've been tracking tickets I know this is true. Just look at the sales for the Carrie/Keith tour and the capacities they put on sale and you can see where country usually does worse or better. The Midwest usually sells the best for country music. That's where Carrie did her best numbers. She sold out her Ohio concerts in June immediately too though I don't know if Ohio's considered Midwest or Northeast. :P For some reason a lot of Texas markets go slow for country and pop, that's something I've never understood. I've heard Houston is BRUTAL for sales especially for pop. But Carrie's been doing well in Texas. Louisiana's been a little weak lately too.

I read an article at Pulse that Arizona and Florida were really bad for sales now because they'd been hit so hard by foreclosures though Carrie did well in AZ in May. The Carolinas for reasons I don't understand usually are a little weaker in sales for country, same as Virginia. Atlanta Georgia is the shining light in the Deep South as a GREAT market for country music concerts. The Kentucky/Tennessee/Arkansas markets usually are good for country music. I think the Northwest is usually pretty good too. That's all I remember off the top of my head but where the concert is can make a very big difference in ticket sales.

Thank you to all you guys who put up numbers for us. I love reading the sales, tour and mediabase threads on this board.
I think Carrie has done fabulous for her first solo tour. She's got two albums out and is either selling out or coming really close to it. I do think Josh Turner is a hotter ticket than JMC, but I think LBT will really help fill those extra seats as well.

I would love to see Carrie and Brad do a tour like Reba and and Kelly C are doing. Of course I don't know how that would work, but I would love to see them do their own show and then kinda mingle duets in. Some of their own and of course some of the more famous ones throughout the years. I'm sure that's far fetched, but it would help Brad's sales, and I just love both of them in concert.

^ It is rather odd that the North and East coast, NW, etc- seem mto sell better for concert sales for Carrie, then the south--- which is supposed to be the core of country music. lol

It seems like JMC is not a big draw.
