i had three carrie moments.
1st. (background check, danmar is a relatively good friend of mine, and we just started getting close recently. he loves picking on me, which means,,, carrie. you'll see. ) --kare-kare is a filipino dish.
me: (talking to my BFFFFF, who sits beside dan) hey, did you know that just a dream is #1 on CMT?!?!?! aaahhh!
danmar: (butts in) carriieeee. carrie underwood. carrie underworld. under the sea! carrie.
kare-kare. uy, gutom na tuloy ako dahil sa carrie na yan. (now i'm hungry because of that carrie!) *laughs*
me: *eyes him evilly* what did you say, nosy? eavesdropper.
danmar: nothing,. i said i want kare-kare.

we had an activity in english, we had to choose a topic, any topic, and make an outline for the speech we're going to deliver for it.
our teacher was walking around, looking at the topics, yadda yadda yadda. the room was quiet, then she stopped at me. then gasped. a loud one! and she asked..
mam: is this your topic?
me: yeaaahhh.
*the whole class mimics me*
mam: i wasn't expecting this from you!
danmar: mam, ano ba yung topic niya? (mam, what's her topic anyway?)
me: cancer.
danmar: CANCER!
kay carrie nanaman yan eh! nainspire ka kay carrie, noh? (cancer! that's related to carrie, isn't it? she inspired you, didn't she?)
random classmate 1: carrie? again?
random classmate 2: who? pats? yeah, that would be carrie.
random classmate 3: carrie nanaman? sino yan? si pats? (carrie again? who's that? is it pats?)
danmar: oh, see? carrie carrie! underwood, underworld.
kare-kare! gutom ulit ako. (kare kare! i'm hungry again.)

random classmate: oh, danmar!
mag oonline ako mamaya! (i'm going to go online later!)
*i walk in the room*
danmar: yung isa jan, yung shoutout niya lagi... carrie carrie carrie. pati nga primary photos niya sa friendster at yahoo messenger si carrie eh! (somebody over there... her shoutout is always carrie carrie carrie. even her primary photos on friendster and yahoo messenger are of carrie!)
friendster is the "myspace" that is popular in the philippines.
