I was getting ready to go for a run (why do I have so many weird Carrie moments while I'm running?!?!?!) earlier today and it was really hot and humid and you could just tell there was going to have to be a thunderstorm at some point! But I checked the doppler radar thing on the local news station and it showed that the storms wouldn't be in my area for another hour or so.
Soooo I took off running and noticed that it was getting kinda dark and there were huge black clouds in the distance but it looked like I had enough time.... butttttt it started getting realllllllly windy and even darker and I was trying to decide if I should just go back (I was about a mile from my house) and thunder starte rumbling pretty loudly so I was like "OH SNAP! I have to get home SOON!"
So I like RAN back home, very quickly and the storm came at me FAST and I was getting really scared, so OF COURSE I started blasting...
FLAT ON THE FLOOOOOOR!
I blasted it really loud so I couldn't hear any of the thunger which was getting louder, and the wind too... it helped to comfort me! The wind was blowing leaves and little pine needles all over me and then when I was like 1/8 of a mile from my house it started spinkling but it turned into a downpour very quickly!!!!
It was just so funny because I was so freaked out because lightening was starting to appear and I was literally singing outloud "I'M HIDING FROM THE STORM TIL THE DAMAGE GETS DOOOOOOONE" and then I got inside and was thinking "The sky can't rain on me anymore!"
Haha I was amused by it anyway! And it kept me from freaking out because I don't do well with bad thunderstorms, especially if I'm outside
