Possibilities for Sometimes You Leave?
Hey, I saw this comment posted on one of the other threads and think it would be a great idea... wouldn't Sometimes You Leave be great for radio if it were stripped down to just guitar/fiddle? It's a really good catchy song now but it doesn't need all the background stuff during the chorus... with the success of Sugarland's acoustic Stay, it could do really well...what do you think?? I'd at least love to hear how it sounds!!
I think Care should atleast sing it at a concert.
Its such an incredible song.
But since its not reallly apart of Carnival Ride.
I doubt she'll ever sing it.

I agree, she should sing it at least at her concert , this the same for you wont find this.
I know those two sound poppyish but they could strip it down with a guitar or something like that.
I always found the demo of sometimes you leave a little bit better.
But its seems so stupid, they do a special action to buy her album digital again with a exclusive bonus track and they dont do nothing with it further. its just really strange jmo.
To release it as a single, i dont really agree, there are better country songs on the album.

Well, she did sing You Wont Find This at the FC party<3
Which was incredible.
I seriously thought she would sing Sometimes You Leave,
But it wasnt even one the balllot for picking songs for her to sing.
Idk. I dont think she will ever sing it.
i think it would be great if she sings it in one of her concerts, but yeah, like what everyone said, it's not really part of CR, but would be absolutely wonderful if she sings it someday...

coulda been, woulda been? Who knows, however people have been known to re-release songs on a following album especially if it gets fan support she could add it to an album yet to be released. I do think it needs to be re-worked to almost sound like the demo for the song. Fiddle, guitar, mabye steel guitar, and even a little big of an electric to give it some edge (Think of the sound from the song "wonderful tonight" even though it has drums and I don't think SYL should) It will never happen, but I love the song especially the demo version and add Carrie's vocals and you have a masterpiece IMO.

I'd like to hear it without the background stuff. IMO the overproduction ruins it.

How interesting. When I first heard it I thought it sounded more like a Kelly song than a Carrie song. The lyrics sound more like something Kelly would sing.
i wish it want so over peoduced in the recorded version. i wish it was just acoustic song. but thats JMO. i wish she would sing it in concert, but i doubt that will happen
