An Olympic dream is born...

...so that feeling of the world uniting and the pride of the USA has returned to me. Ive waited 4 years, like everyone else, for the Olympics to arrive. And last saturday I made a decision. I had always planned to go watch the 2012 Olympics in London and get that feeling in person watching the games live right there in my face. But I sooned realized that would not be enough. I watched my athletic heroes Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson compete and win. I cried in every event they medaled in. I watched Shawns afterwards interviews....and the way she described the feeling of what it was like to be there and everytime shes talked she smiled made me wonder...what ywould it be like to be there? no watching but competing. I made a choice last week that this year would be my last year playing tennis (so i could do the whole varsity thing my senior year) and take back up the sport I quit 4 years ago, tae kwon do. I did it for 8 years and earned my 3rd degree black belt. Even before the olympics I found myself missing the sport more then ever and wanting to return to it. So last week made me realize for sure I wanted to go back. Once I start up college I will find a martial arts school around it and I will begin to train. Whether it be for the 2012 Olympics in London or the 2016 Olympics where ever they may be I know I will be there. Not as a spectator but as an athlete representing my country. Mark my words I will work hard and I will be there.
