CMA Nominations

So today's the day I've been waiting for. The day when the nominees for the 42nd Country Music Association awards are announced.

What a day it's turned out to be! Right off the bat, there's talk of who got snubbed and who unrightfully got a nomination.

If you ask me, most (if not all) of the nominees in each category were VERY deserving. Let's talk about each award seperately...starting with the big one, Entertainer of the Year.

Top 3 Concerts of 2008

2008, like every other year, has been a great year for country concerts here in Arizona. So far, I’ve attended 5 shows and I am hoping to add four more to list before the year is over. Here are the 5 shows I have attended thus far:

April 20 – Country Thunder in Florence, AZ
Featuring Dierks Bentley, Kellie Pickler, Billy Ray Cyrus, Heartland, Bucky Covington, Harry Luge, Luke Bryan, Chuck Wicks

May 2 – Carrie Underwood with Josh Turner in Tucson, AZ

My First Entry!

Well since this is my first blog entry, I guess I'll just explain why I've decided to base my blog around country music.

I've been a huge fan of country music since I was a kid. I was raised listening to country music and I have continued to listen to it as I've grown older. I've heard almost all phases that country has gone through from the "traditional" country to "modern" country and I've enjoyed all of it!

I have many, many, many favorite county...
