What Do You Think About This Video?

IF READING THIS THREAD, YOU MUST RESPECT OTHER PEOPLE'S OPINIONS. IF YOU WILL NOT DO THAT, PLEASE DON'T INTERFERE.

I'm posting this strictly because it is my opinion. I am entitled to that, as are you. Please do not criticize me for sharing my thoughts on this video, whether you agree with me or not.

My expectations for this video were very high, and that might be why I was so disappointed by it. I was expecting this adorable couple to have a child in the video, and we would watch this girl grow up into a mother, where the story starts over, just like it's written in the song. However, the first time I saw this video, I was shocked by how far Roman took it from the song's plot. Instead of a little girl's life, it is showing (as you know) many different 'All American Girls' throughout the video, which is embedded in the plot, but I didn't hear anything about a waitress in the song. Baha. The more I watched it, the more disappointed I was that the video was so ridiculous. In my opinion, this is one of the dumbest videos I've ever seen, yet I still love it...only because Carrie is so cute in the video and I like seeing her in different outfits, hair colors, careers, etc. If Carrie didn't sing the song and the vid turned out this way, I would turn it off if I was watching it on TV. It's just stupid! Again, I like it only because Carrie is in it and is a very good actress, and you have to admit--it's a very fun(ny) video. I was just so disappointed that it was so far from the plot...almost like Roman thought playing a full story in a video was too difficult, or like he didn't get the meaning of the song. I know he did, but it sure didn't show.

So, I'm asking you to take the poll and comment on what I said...don't be mean about it...I don't want any fights started in here, okay? BUT SOMEONE PLEASE AGREE WITH ME!

I Liked it. Carrie looksed super cute in all of it! She was really being natural and she looked amazing. I do think though that it could've been a little better. I think that its a little off of the plot, but Roman still manages to do a fine job. Def not my favorite video, but its still cool

This is my favorite Carrie video to date I think!!

I just love it. I didn't mind so much with this video that the storyline of the song wasn't completely followed like I did with Last Name for example. I just loved all the costume changes and thought it was such a cute and happy-go-lucky video. I can watch it and laugh at Carrie's pom-pom shaking, little Ace's cameo, Tom Brady-esque (seriously... a white jersey with a blue & red #12!! That IS Tom Brady lol) football Carrie doing drills, and of course, the Before He Cheats shoutout at the end. The ONLY Carrie I wasn't a huge fan of was the astronaut Carrie at the end lol... I thought that was just a little cheesiness overload because of how silly the background looked & everything. Of course Carrie still looked adorable floating through space in a space suit haha, I just thought it kind of pushed the cheesiness factor a little too far maybe.

One other comment.... everytime I watch the video I kind of laugh at the "you oughta knowwwwwwwww" part because usually in concert when Carrie sings this line, she holds the mic up and you can see how hard she's working to hit that really tough note. But the video just makes it look so non-chalant lol.

But yes.... this is my favorite Carrie video. So much fun!

I do like it, it's cute & fun and alllllll that good stuff. Buuuut I do agree with you, it steered from the plot and did random stuff. Lol.

i really disliked it. I mean sure, carrie had a brilliant time doing it, you can tell she had so much fun. But Roman White is too much of a fan of stupid Green Screens, he over uses them to buggery and they look absolutely terrible when he does them (because they can be used good if they really wanted to try hard enough). And since every single second of the video uses a green screen, its my least favourite CU video by quite a far margin, i cant watch it cause it just looks so tragic

I liked it. I thought it was a fiitting format for that song. They only thing that was not good was the power note at 'Honey, you ought KNOWWW'. That's a difficult note to sing. It's looks very fake how they made it look as if she does it effortlessly.

I really didnt want to be so outnumbered.

Rofl, I do really like the video, but who can't agree with me that it would've been SOSOSO much beter if it was like a little story?
