More: A few more pics and some post concert thoughts. Love the more subdued lighting as it makes for some interesting pictures. Link to videos and random pictures now added.

My particular favorite:

Carrie was particularly animated during PC. Video Here Sorry it is sort of shaky and I lost her a couple of times but those young gals in front of me were particularly active during this song and blocked my view a few times.

Post Concert: This was a high energy concert on Carrie's part and the crowds as well. You could feel the disappointment in the air when the encore was over. People were just kind of lingering. Since Heather and Michelle were in the 2nd row we talked with them a little and then we headed over to the merchandise booth. We said our goodbyes to them and then Thelma and Louise were off on the next leg of their adventure. I bought the white shirt with the blue eyes on it for Hailey and asked Amy if she would give the Thank You card from Hailey to Carrie. She very kindly said she would. I told her we had missed her at Dixon last year and that she missed out on some cookies folks had made her. She said she couldn't make that trip and had heard about the cookies.

The parking lot was a mess of cars all just sitting still. Lots of Carrie music playing on the radio so we just joined in with some of our own music of Carrie's special performances like the Grammy's and some of her pre-Idol stuff. After what seemed like an eternity cars finally started to move and we got out of the lot. On our way home we stopped at the casino to get a snack. They were only serving hamburgers and hot dogs and the cashier said they had a hot dog and chips special for $1.99. We really couldn't understand the waitress as she didn't speak English very well so we both ordered the $1.99 hot dog special. Well obviously she didn't understand us any better than we understood her because when she brought us our plate it was a whole piece of Kielbasa sausage on a big bun with fries (it would have fed a family of 4). We just busted out into laughter as we couldn't believe our eyes. To say the least we did not eat much of it because we probably would have been up all night sick. To top it off when she brought the bill they charged us $5.99 instead of $1.99. Michelle won enough money to pay for the hotel.

We got to bed about 2:30 and thought we would fall right to sleep only we had some noisy ones above us who were still in the party mood. I got very little sleep and finally got up at around 9 or so to shower and pack up for the trip home. We stopped for breakfast and then headed back towards Konocti and took pictures along the way. Stopped at the casino for a half hour (Michelle won again). We drove into Konocti and took some more pictures and headed on down the road. We took the scenic route which took a little longer but made it safely home. I dropped Michelle off at her apartment and got to my house at around 4:00 yesterday and was a little tired so took a short nap.

My overall assessment as I reflect back on Carrie's first concert at Konocti a little more than two years ago is "You Have Come A Long Way Carrie". She has become a dynamite performer and she is so comfortable on stage. Her banter is just priceless and she just charms that audience - if they weren't really a fan when they came they were hooked when they left. Her voice is unmatched in my opinion and just gets better with age. The concerts end so quickly and they leave you wanting more. It will be a long wait until the next show in November. Thank you Carrie for bringing so much joy to people's lives. You are a wonderful gift to the world.
