great point- and I agree. I am still waiting for someone other then Loretta Lynn or perhaps Reba to come forward and be nice to Carrie. It seems that every couple months, another female country artist takes yet another dig at carrie. It is very sad.

However, when comparing the men to the women, there is one big difference as far as exposure is concerned. The women, especially Carrie, are sought out constantly for their fashion and sex appeal. Carrie has been on just about every magazine you can think of. How many men get that kind of exposure. Not too many. At award shows, most of the focus goes into what the women are wearing and their fashion statement. The paparazzi are constantly looking for photo shots that show Carrie in something revealing like a bathing suit or even when she does not look her best. They follow her on vacation and everywhere she goes. They don't do this, in general, for the men. All of this and more adds up to extra exposure for the women.
In general, I think it is all good exposure but for some, who are not strong Carrie fans or even have a real dislike for her, they see it as too much exposure. They want an excuse to put her down. What we need to keep in focus is that they are in the minority and we should not worry about them.
Keep Carrie highly visible is my position especially whenever/wherever she can sing.

Thanx....I agree with you that she is not over-exposed-- but it seems that some say that on other boards occasionally- but they are not really carrie fans, so there you go. I personally think the most over-exposed annoying people are britney spears, paris hilton, lindsey lohan, both jessica and ashlee simpson, etc.-- that whole crew...TS is getting there in country music, for sure.
But Carrie is not on the tabloids 1/2 as much as britney, paris, etc- are....so that is a good thing. A little coverage in the tabloids is good to keep your name out there-- but too much- makes people sick of you.
And you are right- men do not get all the fashion, tabloid coverage that women do... nor are they as catty about appearance. I think men could give a rip if, i.e., Garth Brooks gained 5 pounds this month. lol Who cares?? But for women-- it is the end of the world as we know it. lol

I know this because I used to travel from one country to another when I was younger .
As far as I know, people who were even close to this fame were Pele (Brazilian Soccer player), Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, and may be David Backham. .
Yes, Carrie Underwood is well known here in the US, but she has not been known around the world yet--therefore, Carrie is not even close to being over exposed. This is just my opinion.

I agree-- I don't think Carrie is over-exposed--- but some of her naysayers think so. I just think it is ironic that they never say that about the men....
